The Silken Way

Our philosophy is simple: quality, health, and temperament comes first. We believe every puppy deserves the very best beginning. Our dogs are cherished members of our family, and each litter is thoughtfully planned with the goal of producing healthy, well tempered, beautiful poodles who will become loving lifelong companions.

Our puppies are raised in our home with hands on care, early socialization, and plenty of love. We are committed to responsible breeding and to being there for our puppy families beyond the day they bring their new family member home. 

We follow the Puppy Culture program, an age appropriate approach focused on socialization, enrichment, confidence building, and positive experiences. From birth we introduce new sights, sounds, surfaces, handling, and everyday expe to help each puppy develop into confident, well rounded companions.

We believe puppies need a calm and positive experience to the grooming process. In our family we have a certified groomer who ensures our puppies start their positive grooming experience and desensitiation  as early as 4 weeks old. This is to make sure your puppy is well behaved and not scared of being groomed either by a professional or yourself.

We believe responsible breeding begins with continued learning. We are committed to expanding our knowlege of canine health, breeding, development, and proper care so we can make thoughtful decisions for our dogs and every puppy we bring into the world.

Our puppies are raised in our home as part of our family. We provide a clean, safe, and enriching environment where they can explore, play, learn, and grow while becoming comfortable with the sights, sounds, and experiences of a loving active home. Our parent dogs live in our home not in a kennel all day they have free rein of our home and secure yard. For safety our puppies are allowed to be in secure and clean areas of our home so they can experience an everyday home life while still being protected. 

Every puppy is an individual and we take the time to get to know who they are. Through temperament testing and daily observation we learn about the puppy’s confidence, sociability, energy, and personality.

The health and well being of our puppies begins long before they are born. We thoughtfully choose and pair our dogs that meet our standard of health, temperament, and quality. Our puppies receive attentive care from their very first day, giving a healthy foundation as they grow and prepare for their forever home. 

Our care doesn’t End when our puppy goes home. We’re here to offer guidance and support as your puppy grows, from everyday health and wellness questions to navigating each new stage of life. We want every family to feel supported and confident in giving their puppy a happy and healthy future. We want our puppy owners to know that no matter how old your pup is from puppyhood to a senior, the Silken Poodle family will always be there.
